KELVIN’S CHARTER-DAY RULES

THE SHORT VERSION
Kelvin’s small-boat format gives every guest more room and more time on the gear. In return, everyone helps keep the boat safe, respectful and ready for the next bite.
The booking contact accepts the booking policies and charter-day rules when submitting the request. Every guest must complete the individual digital guest declaration before departure. A parent or guardian completes it for a guest under 16.
Give Kelvin the correct mobile number for the booking contact. Tell him in advance about any guest under 16, medical conditions, allergies, mobility needs, pregnancy, medication, severe seasickness or anything else relevant to safe participation.
Your launch point may change up to 24 hours before departure based on weather, safe operating conditions and where the hottest bite is. Do not travel to an assumed ramp—use the final meeting point Kelvin sends you.
Be at the confirmed meeting point at least 15 minutes before departure, ready for the safety briefing. Phone Kelvin as soon as possible if delayed. The charter cannot always be extended for late arrival.
Wear closed, non-slip footwear and clothing suited to changing bay weather. Bring sun protection, a warm layer and waterproof outerwear. Avoid loose items that can blow overboard.
Bring drinking water, snacks and only the bags you need—fewer bags means more room on the boat. There is no toilet aboard, so please use the facilities before boarding.
Adult guests may bring a moderate amount of alcohol, but no glass bottles or containers. As a charter rule, guests must remain below 0.05 BAC. Intoxication, unsafe conduct or behaviour Kelvin considers unacceptable may result in an early return to shore.
Bring an esky for your catch and leave it securely in your car while the charter is on the water. Kelvin will advise how to handle and store any legal retained catch after the trip.
If you are prone to motion sickness, plan ahead. Ask a doctor or pharmacist which option is suitable for you and follow the product directions; some medicines can cause drowsiness. Motion-sickness medicines generally work best when taken before symptoms begin.
All rods, reels, tackle and bait needed for the planned session are supplied. You are welcome to bring suitable personal gear; tell Kelvin beforehand so it can be safely stowed and matched to the day’s plan.
Listen to the pre-departure briefing, learn where safety equipment is kept and wear or use safety equipment whenever directed. Follow Kelvin’s instructions immediately—conditions on the water can change quickly.
The charter carries no more than four guests. Do not bring an additional person without Kelvin’s prior written consent. A guest under 16 must be accompanied and actively supervised by a responsible adult.
Every guest who requires a Victorian recreational fishing licence must carry a current licence. Check your eligibility and any exemptions before the day; being under 18 is one current exemption.
Only legal equipment and methods may be used. Size, bag, possession, protected-species and closed-season rules apply. Kelvin makes the final onboard call on measuring, keeping, dispatching or releasing fish.
Take turns, keep hooks and tackle controlled, respect other guests and follow directions around casting and landing fish. Abuse, harassment, unsafe conduct and illegal drugs are not accepted.
Charters are planned around what is plentiful and the best available bite. If your crew wants a specific species, work out the request with Kelvin before the day. Fish are wild, so no species, size, number or catch is guaranteed.
Ask before photographing other guests. How Many Fishing Charters will seek permission before using identifiable customer images for marketing, and guardian consent is required for children.

Use bins and storage provided, keep plastics and line secure, and do not throw rubbish overboard. Take reasonable care of the vessel, supplied gear, ramps, wildlife and other water users.
